As we approach Christmas, it feels like an exciting time of development and growth for Colebrook, particularly within our Board of Directors who have strengthened in numbers as we have recently attracted some exciting new additions. It is also lovely to see some established faces taking on new roles within the Board and becoming more actively involved.
The Board are currently offering the organisation a real variety of experience from business, to HR, to quality and essentially a passion to support vulnerable people to independence. The Board are taking the lead in appropriate areas and are taking their accountability for the organisation seriously. We are hoping to further develop the Board through training, development and the opportunity to mix and network with others in their position.
Service User involvement is always something we have aspired to on the Board, however the emergence of a new organisational service user group may provide a new solution. As part of our quality work we have launched a (self named) ‘Quality Eye Group’ to help us develop Colebrook, show a strong user voice and take the lead on tasks such as stakeholder surveys and policy development. We are working with this group to explore how they may want to provide a user voice for the Board, which would be fantastic!
If you might be interested in supporting Colebrook on our Board or if you use our services and would like to part of the ‘Quality Eye Group’ please get in touch with Pam Parr on 01752 205210 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
