As we navigate further through changes to streamline and improve our IT, internal systems, HR etc we are saying goodbye to a small number of staff in the organisation that have been instrumental in our development and progress. It is always difficult to lose good staff and we wish everyone who moves on from Colebrook all the best for their future careers, while taking the opportunity to reflect on what the organisation needs now and for the future. Most endings lead to new beginnings and there are a few of those on the horizon including the expansion of our Healthwatch team, taking on the asset transfer of two new community centres from the beginning of July and growth in our services. We are also steps closer to achieving a new organisation wide quality mark (PQASSO). Changes are always tricky and staff have had to work hard to get their head around new processes, outsourcing areas of work we have previously carried out ourselves and improving our information collecting and sharing….all of which will support us to become a more efficient service. Staff continue to be full of good ideas and the progress of improving the way we engage people we work with (through our new and aptly named ‘Quality Eye’ group) is particularly exciting. For evidence of the talent of people we have the honour of supporting, you only have to visit our meeting room which hosts a display of the photography of a gentleman who uses our service. My continued thanks to everyone who works for, has contact with and supports Colebrook on a day to day basis.
